My UCL journey immersed me in a truly global academic community. A highlight was the Bartlett Faculty's floating seminar along the Thames (pictured), where even North Camden regeneration project peers joined our voyage. As we cruised past the Houses of Parliament, our cross-cultural cohort - from Scandinavian urban planners to Southeast Asian development specialists - engaged in lively debates about sustainable cities, our discussions echoing the chimes of Big Ben. This intellectual melting pot mirrored UCL's teaching ethos: professors who could dissect transport models with surgical precision one moment, then wax lyrical about Brick Lane's cultural tapestry the next. Their expertise, delivered with proper London grit and warmth, continues shaping my approach to urban challenges.
